What is the Students’ Union?

The  Union is the representative body for all students at Bath SpaUniversity.

We are here to make sure you are fairly treated and get the most out of your University experience.

The Union is a registered charity, governed by a constitution and is student led. 

At the head of everything is the Board of Trustees which consists of  the eight Union Officers and four external people.

The eight Officer  positions is filled by a student who is elected in every year during the Union's general election. Working independently from the University, the Union offers a wide range of services, facilities and opportunities.

Representation

Bath Spa SU’s primary purpose is to represent your rights, needs and views. This section outlines what we do to represent you in the University, local and national government. It will also guide you on how to speak your mind and be heard and actually make a positive change to your time here at Bath Spa.

Services

Service with a smile! You will be surprised at the variety of services the SU provides for your benefit. We aim to provide you with everything you need whilst at Bath Spa from bread and milk to a cold beverage, a gym session to a full English breakfast.

Support & Campaigns

The Union only has your best interests at heart. We run campaigns on subjects that can affect you, raising awareness and creating change for the better. Additionally, the SU offers support services and works with professionals to look after your wellbeing whilst in Bath.

Entertainments

The perfect way to get to meet people is to socialize. The Union provides an entertainments programme dedicated to giving you the opportunity to make friends outside of your course through club nights on campus and other social activities to suit your scene.

Communications

The Union aims to keep you up to date with the latest news via a variety of platforms; website, e-newsletters, social media and more. Spalife is the Union’s student led media group and offers TV programmes, Radio podcasts and a termly magazine.

Activities

A fresh start, a new you! The Union offers plenty of societies, sports, volunteering and trips abroad, whoever knew the Union facilitated so much fun! So get stuck in and get everything a go at least once or you might live to regret it!

So with so much on offer to you, the Union should always be your first port of call regardless of the nature of your issue.
