Student Support services offer a helping hand if you are finding things a little bit difficult at University. They cover issues such as money problems, international support information, disability support and medical help, just to mention a few.
You can find these services at Newton Park, Doynton DNG05b
The University recognises that not all students feel comfortable discussing issues with University staff, and as a result, there is a peer mentoring scheme which can provide guidance, informal support and a listening ear to anyone that approaches them. However the service is not a replacement for professional assistance or advice.
For more information e-mail c.spindlove@bathspa.ac.uk or ring (01225) 876543
The SU is always happy to help whenever and wherever possible. If you are struggling with your academic studies, finding it hard to settle in or just want a general chit chat, please do not hesitate to come along to the SU and speak to any SU representative.
You can always find us at the Students’ Union, Newton Park.
Student Housing Services are your source of information and help on all things accommodation. They manage the Halls of Residences on Newton Park Campus and at Bankside and give advice and assistance to all students on accommodation matters - Halls of Residence, Unite and private sector.
They also run Studentpad - the BSU landlord database, which every year advertises hundreds of properties in Bath to rent with local landlords and agencies: www.bathspastudentpad.co.uk
There is a wealth of information on their website: http://housing.bathspa.ac.uk for both current and prospective students and can be contacted on accommodation@bathspa.ac.uk and 01225 875843.
You can visit them in Stewards Lodge on Newton Park campus Monday - Friday between 9am and 3.30pm.
The University understands the importance of building on your academic studies and developing your skills, to harness your employability for future career prospects. To help you along your way, we would really encourage you to make the most of everything that Bath Spa Careers and Bath Spa Plus have to offer.
