► The Bar
The Bar 
The bar is located in the Union building at the top end of the Newton Park campus. Open to all students the bar offers a friendly a relaxed atmosphere for everyone to meet, chat and enjoy.
Opening at 9am every morning the bar is the ideal space to meet with friend, talk about your course, grab some lunch or play some pool. With the kitchen producing an enticing selection of wallet friendly meals the Union is the cheapest place to get a hot meal on campus. There is also plenty of comfortable seating ideal for meeting with course mates and planning presentations.
This year we will be extending our Kitchen opening hours to offer food in the evenings. So if you live on campus and don’t feel like cooking or are left feeling empty after a late lecture then come take the weight off your feet and enjoy a hot and satisfying meal.
At night the bar is a multipurpose venue offering a variety of events, ranging from band nights to the ever popular Wednesday night flirt! club night to the constantly changing and always exciting Friday nights. With very competitive drinks prices the bar also provides an ideal place to come for a quite drink in the early evenings or quieter nights.
