Just V's Volunteer Academy recruits up to 10 students each year (all of whom have previously volunteered) who are willing to make a commitment of around 3 hours per week over one academic year (September - June). Academy members agree to act as ambassadors for Just V, arrange 3 - 4 one-off volunteer activities during the course of the year for other students and act as a focus group for any changes / developments made to Just V.
Ultimately, Academy members help to spread the word on volunteering around other students. They therefore tend to be good communicators, confident, self-motivated, team players and willing to use their own initiative.
