About Us...

 

The Badminton Society has been running since November 2007, and in this short time we have gained over 30 members. The society welcomes all 1st, 2nd and 3rd year students of any age and any ability! Each week we hold a series of mini-tournaments, learn new skills and play fun activities. Many of our current members have joined the Badminton Society mainly for the fun, social side, however, for those who are more competitive, we are planning to organise tournaments against other universities in the near future. The society is always open to new suggestions, so please let me know any ideas you have!!

Details

 

Date: Every Tuesday 8-9pm or 9-10pm

 

Location: Badminton Hall, Sports Training Village, University of Bath

 

Membership: £2 joining fee + £2 per session attended

 

Equipment: All rackets and shuttlecocks provided. Please wear suitable sports clothing and trainers (preferably white).

 

News and Updates!

 

  • The last session of this academic year will be Tuesday 27th May 2008

 

  • A few of our members have suggested that we have t-shirts and hoodies printed with a Badminton Society logo. If anyone has any ideas for this, please let me know!!

 

  • There are still positions on the committee that need filling for the next academic year 2008/09. We desperately need these committee members as it is difficult to run the society without them! Please contact me if you are interested (will look great on your CV!!). The available positions are:
