INDIVIDUAL EVENTS
As well as team events, BUSA also cater for less mainstream sports and give students the opportunity to compete individually. At the bottom of this page is listed the individual sports that BUSA offer.
In 2005, Bath Spa University signed up to the Talented Athlete Scholarship Scheme (TASS). A scheme in which elite athletes are chosen and given funding by their particular sports governing body to compete in their particular sport and study at an HE institution.
Individual championships take place over a weekend, but some individual sports fit in to the Wednesday afternoon programme.
However, if you are not a TASS athlete, but are interested in competing in an individual event that BUSA offer, then please visit Dan in the SU Office.
The SU will provide you with the entry form and will go through with you the procedure for entering the specific event or championship. The SU will pay the entry fee of the event and either:
- Your Bath Spa Kit for the event (expected to last your three years at the institution)
- Or your accomodation and travel
The choice is yours.
