The VSM(Volunteering, Societies & Media)Awards was a new event to the Bath Spa Students' Union in 2006.
The event was created by Chris Murrell (VP Activities), David Jones (Communications Officer) and Stacie Harris (Societies Officer). It's main objective was to give recognition to students involved in the these three areas and to give students an incentive to get involved with the Students' Union in the future.
The three areas that the night celebrates have always been key to the SU Experience and has had many people get involved over the years, but no recognition has ever been given to the amount of work some students put in both to help other students get involved but also to aid in their own student development.
On May 18th 2006, this changed and this event will hopefully live on and grow along with the particiaption within the Students' Union.
