The Students’ Union is the representative student voice of Bath Spa University. Working independently from the University, the Students’ Union is a student led organisation supplying you, the student, with support, advice, representation, activities and entertainment.

Through the Students’ Union you are able to sign up to sports and societies as well as being able to utilise our facilities on either campus.

On the Newton Park campus you can find us located in the large building at the top of the University campus, a short walk from halls or the library bus stop and in the evenings the bus will even deliver you to, and collect you from, the car park outside the Union building. The building contains a shop, bar and offices.

Bar: The Union bar offers a relaxed and sociable daytime environment with a selection of wallet friendly drinks and food. It provides a unique space in the University where you can meet up with friends and colleges to discuss your course, have lunch or just hang out. At night time the bar offers a multi-purpose venue for a variety of events and entertainment provided by the Students’ Union, including Karaoke, quiz nights, band nights and the ever popular Flirt club night on Wednesdays.

Shop: The Union shop offers everything you would expect form your local convenience store and more, from food and snacks to all you stationary needs and all at affordable prices. The shop is also the only place where you can purchase Bath Spa University branded clothing. As the shop is for a student lead body, the manager is more than willing to try and stock any items you desire that are not included in the current range.

Offices: The offices are situated upstairs in the SU building and are the place to find the Sabbatical officers, elected student officers, and Union staff. These are the people you want to contact if you are in need of any advice or information, whether you want to find out how to join a sports team or talk to someone about exam stress. The office is also the one stop shop for event tickets and bus passes, we are here to help you so don’t hesitate to stop by.

On the Sion Hill campus the Students’ Union can be found in the basement of Somerset Place. Built into this Georgian building it is a short distance from town, Victoria Park and Bath’s famous Royal Crescent. The Office is open weekdays with a resident member of staff as well as a Sabbatical officer every day. Come in to buy your bus passes, Bath Spa University branded clothing and event tickets or even if you just need someone to talk to. The bar is a smaller more intimate venue than the bar at Newton Park, but still offers a variety of events over the year; it is also an ideal space for a quiet drink or to get in some cheap drinks before going out elsewhere. The bar is also available for student run evenings, whether you want to have a birthday party or display some of your work, this space is yours so do use it.
