Student Council

Student Council is made up of Union Officers and official student representatives from across the University to ensure the Union represent student views to the best of its ability.

The Student Council plays a vital role in gathering feedback from the rest of the student body, debate important issues raised by students, and make recommendations to the Union and University. Members of Student Council help to keep the Union focused on the needs of the students at the same time as allowing the Union to be accountable and transparent as a democratic organisation to 'the membership' (All Bath Spa University students).

The Student Council membership is as followings:

  • Union Officers

  • School & Department Reps.

  • Clubs & Society Representatives

  • Liberation Reps.

  • Media Reps.

  • All other official representatives recognised by the Union.

See the full list of committee members

Members of Student Council are there to represent your views. If you want a matter to be discussed, you can either contact the most appropriate council member or email the Union President

  • set the Policy of the Union and refer Policy to Referenda of the Members (in accordance with the Bye-Laws);
