ZEALS | Wed 4th Dec | 1pm | Bath Spa SU Bar #SetMusicFree
Just a stones throw away from Bristol, the Weston-Super-Mare outfit bring pop/rock with innocent indie rock sensibilities to the table. ZEALS are well known for their energetic performances that truly explode that heart-racing message across, along with an amplified urge to move. The Somerset boys really cast the spark to thieve your attention. ZEALS current line up of Harrisen Larner - Main (Vocals & Guitar), Rob Whelan (Drums) and Toby Andrews (Lead Guitar & Vocals) formed eighteen months ago in Weston-Super-Mare after taking inspiration from and sharing a mutual love of acts such as The 1975, Fickle Friends, Prides and One Republic to heavier bands like Bring Me The Horizon, Don Broco, Lower Than Atlantis and Fatherson.
Since then the band have developed a truly exciting and powerful live set that see’s them play to ever growing and excitable audiences from around the UK to as far afield as Denmark, Germany, Austria & Hungary. Having just come off of a very successful UK tour with ‘THE HOOSIERS’, the lads are really amplifying what they’ve got going on. This newfound fan base is truly ensuring the continued success of ZEALS latest release. The 5 track ‘Ready To Fly EP’ was premiered via ROCK SOUND who reviewed a comparison of the boys with DON BROCO + THE 1975. ‘Ready To Fly’ peaked at number 43 in the iTunes Rock Album Charts on it’s release September 1st 2017.
ZEALS, who sometimes feature Bill Banwell the bass player for Rag'n'Bone Man in their live line up, will play a headline show in Copenhagen, Denmark at Musikforening RIOT on 24th November and return to UK for a 20 show intimate acoustic tour. The 3 piece will be bouncing around the University circuit with ‘Coffee House Sessions’ from 4th of December. More live dates will be announced in the very near future.
