Summer Ball is happening on Friday 1st of June 2018. It starts at 8pm and finishes at 2am on Saturday 2nd.

Where is the Summer Ball 2018?

Summer Ball is set up on the top sports field and can be accessed via the top end of Garden's Accomodation.

What year groups can attend Summer Ball?

Any year group can attend the Summer Ball. Whether you're an undergraduate or postgraduate. 1st year or 3rd year. Mature student or younger. You're welcome at Summer Ball.

How can I purchase a ticket?

Tickets can be purchased on our website at https://www.bathspasu.co.uk/events/6013/891/ ... If you're struggling to purchase a ticket/s please contact us Bathspasu@bathspa.ac.uk

Can I bring someone even if they're not a Bath Spa student?

Bath Spa students can bring up to two guests each. These guests don't have to be students at Bath Spa but they must be accompanied by you at all points through the evening.

Please note that BSU students are responsible for the actions of their guests.

What does my ticket include?

Your ticket includes access to the Summer Ball, free access to the Fair Ground (Miami Ride, The Dodgems and the Big Wheel, for all those romantic moments), access to all our music and alcohol tents (Including our main tent with headliners, Wine tent, Pimms tent...plus many many more), access to our food tents.

What does VIP mean? Is this included in the ticket?

A VIP Ticket gets you all the perks of a Summer Ball ticket, plus a few little extras.
- You get an extra hour of fun
- Bubbly and Nibbles
- Bath Spa Big Band entertainment
- Fast Track Entry Ticket Straight From The VIP...this will defintely beat the queues to the fairground.

To get access to VIP you will need to purchase a ticket at an extra cost of £5.00... these are also available at https://www.bathspasu.co.uk/events/6013/891/

Where and when can I collect my ticket?

During the purchase process there is an option for where you wish to collect your Wristband. Newton Park Collection is The Students' Union Office Reception at Newton Park and Sion Hill Collection is yet to be confirmed (keep an eye out on social media for more information).

You will not actually receive a physical ticket, we will be issuing wristbands which you will collect the week of the event. Collection dates will start from Tuesday 29th of June... further information will be released shortly.

Can my friend pick up my Wristband for me?

To collect your wristband, you must come in person. SU staff have to put the wristband on your wrist and this also includes your guests. You can collect wristbands right up until the start of the Ball so there is plenty of time to collect them. You will not be granted entry to the Ball or VIP without your wristband.

Do I need to bring anything with me to Summer Ball?

First and foremost yourself - that's pretty essential.
Bath Spa students will need to bring and have on them at all times their BSU ID card, and guests will need to have photographic ID on them (Driving licence) at all times.
Cash - and enough to keep you going all night...and beyond e.g. Taxi to get you back home.

Do you take card payments at Summer Ball?

Unfortunately we do not take card. Whilst we have cash points in the SU and one at Santander...these run out of cash quickly. Make sure you beat the queues and get cash before you arrive to the Summer Ball.

What entertainment is at Summer Ball?

Music entertainment -
Natural theatre company (A surprise worth checking out)
Samba society
Live Moles Tent - Student bands who performed in Battle of the Bands
Raised by Hounds

Burger Company
Ice cream stall

Will there be photographers on the night?

Yes...we will have Spa Life at the event all evening who will be taking photos as well as video. All of their material will be available on social media after the Summer Ball.

What is the dress code for the evening?

Smart casual (two words which could mean literally anything) Suits, black tie, swim suits, dress up... honestly this list is endless so wear whatever you're comfortable in.

Our only recommendation is please remember that you're on a field...this means that stilettos could be a dodgy choice, and wedges, flats or small heals would be far better suited.

How can I get to and from Summer Ball?

We have buses running on an alternative time table - these will be -

Duplicate buses running from town at 20:40 and 21:40
And late buses running at 1:10 and 2:10 from Newton Park Campus

I've brought a ticket but no longer want to attend...Can I give it to a friend?

Please note that NO REFUNDS are available once a ticket has been purchased.

You are also unable to swap/re-sell tickets...this means if you don't want your ticket anymore you're unable to sell it across social media.

If you have any further questions please don't hesistate to get in contact with us on Bathspasu@Bathspa.ac.uk

We hope you have a really good evening.
